Marriages in Krakow
Many of the marriage records shown here are also available on JewishGen's JRI-Poland and
the Shtetlinks/Krakow websites, although not in such detail.
The database comes from 4 sets of records:
1) Krakow marriage banns These records are available in the Jewish Historical Institute
(ZIH) in Warsaw.
2) Krakow marriage records Also available from the ZIH.
3) Krakow Progressive Synagogue marriage & banns records Also available from the ZIH.
4) Krakow marriage records These records are available from the Krakow Archives.
The database fields available to members of Shoreshim are:
Year and Akt. (The Akt record indicates which data set the record comes from). Please ignore the words '(S_Ref xx)' after the Akt record. This is a reference used by Shoreshim to match the marriage record with the original source. It is of no relevance to the viewer.

Records with the same 'Year' and 'Akt' are a pair of records (bride and groom).
