Holocaust Death Reports
This database is a list of Jews who died during the Holocaust.
There were clearly no civil death records for this period, so after World War II those who survived
had to prove that their close family member/s had died. They went to the
Sąd Grodzki w Krakowie (the City Court in Krakow) where they had to complete a death
application form. (See our gallery
for a sample of such a document.) The database list comprises all reports filed in the years 1946 to 1950.
The database has the following information:
Record number A reference of the Krakow Archives.
Year The year in which the death application form was filed.

Assumed date of death
Place of death* This includes places from all over Poland.
